Yoga and Pilates Studio Cleaning Checklist

October 13, 2026

A yoga or pilates studio is cleaned differently from an office, because clients put their hands, feet and faces on the floor. This checklist separates what staff do between classes from what a cleaning company does on a schedule.

Between classes (your team)

  • Wipe props that were used, and return them to storage
  • Spot-clean the floor if anything spilled
  • Open the door or window for fresh air if the weather allows

Every visit (a cleaning crew)

  • Dust mop, then damp mop the practice floor with a product that suits the surface
  • Vacuum entry mats and wipe cubbies and benches
  • Clean and restock restrooms and changing rooms
  • Wipe the front desk, card reader and door glass
  • Empty trash and recycling

Weekly

  • Wipe walls and mirrors in the practice room
  • Clean prop shelves and mat racks
  • Dust vents and ledges

Monthly

  • Detail the floor edges, corners and baseboards
  • Descale restroom fixtures
  • Clean the storage area in full

How often should a studio be cleaned?

A busy studio with daily classes usually needs three visits a week. A smaller studio with a few classes a week can start with two. See yoga and pilates studio cleaning for prices, and consider the Fragrance-Free profile if scent matters to your clients.
