Recurring House Cleaning in San Juan Capistrano, California

The Swallows Day Parade in March and the summer trolley weekends shape the San Juan Capistrano calendar. School terms set the rest of the week for families. Doctor Clean runs weekly, every other week and monthly cleaning plans here, in the Los Rios District and the neighborhoods off Del Obispo Street and Ortega Highway. You receive the price and the checklist by email.

School terms and summer break in San Juan Capistrano

During the school year a family home follows the same pattern every week. Lunches are made in the morning, bags from practice at the city's Sports Park and athletic fields land in the entry in the afternoon, and the bathrooms get heavy use before school. A weekly visit on a school day fits that pattern, since the house is quiet while the cleaner works. Summer break changes it. Children are home all day, and the kitchen never quite closes. You can keep weekly visits through summer, or switch to every other week while the family travels and return to weekly in the fall. Tell us the dates, and we confirm each change by email.

Summer weekends in the historic downtown

Between Memorial Day and Labor Day the city runs a weekend trolley. Its Summer Nites concerts fall on the third Wednesday of each month, June through September. The historic downtown around the Mission and Camino Capistrano draws visitors on those days. For homes in and near downtown, weekday visits avoid the weekend crowds. On a concert Wednesday, a morning visit goes more smoothly than a late afternoon one. The farmers market at El Camino Real and Yorba Street adds Wednesday afternoon traffic as well, from 3 to 7 p.m. in spring and summer.

The Swallows Day Parade in March

San Juan Capistrano holds the Swallows Day Parade, the Fiesta de las Golondrinas, each March. It comes close to the Mission's celebration of the return of the swallows on March 19. In 2026 the parade ran on the morning of Saturday, March 21. Families who host friends for the parade may want a clean on the Friday before. A one-time visit covers it without changing your regular plan. Downtown fills on parade morning, so a visit near the Mission is easier on the Thursday or Friday. If friends stay through Sunday, a Monday visit gets the house ready for the school week.

A San Juan Capistrano plan, room by room

Area Every visit Weekly or monthly detail
Entry on a school day Entry floor swept and mopped, handles and switches wiped Door frames and baseboards during the first deep clean
Kitchen after school lunches Counters and sink, stovetop, microwave inside and out, floor after a school week Backsplash and the outside of the range hood during the first deep clean
Bathroom used before school Toilet, shower or tub, sink, mirror and floor Grout and fixture descaling during the first deep clean
Bedrooms Dusting, surfaces, vacuuming and mopping Ceiling fans during the first deep clean
Guest room before the parade Surfaces dusted, floor vacuumed or mopped One-time clean the day before guests, separate from the plan

Barns, tack rooms, patios and the garage are outside a San Juan Capistrano visit, since the plan covers the inside of the home. Inside, laundry, heavy furniture moving, pet waste, and mold or biohazard cleanup are left out unless we agree in writing.

Cleaning profile

For a child with allergies, the Hypoallergenic profile is the one to ask for, with no fragrance, no dye, a HEPA vacuum and microfiber cloths. Other San Juan Capistrano homes start on the Standard profile. You can read about each on the cleaning profiles page.

Questions about this service

Can my San Juan Capistrano plan change for summer break?

Yes, it can. Tell us when school ends and starts again, and we agree the summer rhythm by email. With children home all day, a San Juan Capistrano house may need weekly visits in summer. If the family travels instead, every other week or a pause can cover those weeks.

Do you clean historic homes near the Mission on a recurring plan?

Yes, we do. Homes in the Los Rios District and around Mission San Juan Capistrano can run on a weekly, every other week or monthly plan. Tell us the age of the house and its floors, and the checklist is written to match the home.

Can a San Juan Capistrano visit work around a Summer Nites Wednesday?

Yes, it can. Summer Nites concerts fall on the third Wednesday of each month June through September, and downtown is busier that afternoon. A morning visit that day, or another weekday, keeps your San Juan Capistrano visit clear of the crowd.

Should we book an extra clean before the Swallows Day Parade?

If you host friends for the parade, a one-time clean on the Friday before helps. It does not change your regular San Juan Capistrano plan. Send us the date, and mention the guest room if there is one.

What add-ons can I rotate into a San Juan Capistrano plan?

You can add the inside of the oven or refrigerator, interior windows, blinds, baseboards and the inside of cabinets to any San Juan Capistrano visit. Adding one per visit spreads the extra work across the month instead of one long day.
