House Cleaning in San Clemente, California

San Clemente calls itself the Spanish Village by the Sea. Many of its homes still follow the founder's rule of red tile roofs and whitewashed stucco. Doctor Clean cleans those houses near the pier and North Beach, newer homes in Talega and Forster Ranch, beach rentals and the small guest houses that are now the most common new housing in the city. Every San Clemente cleaner is background checked and vetted.

Spanish Colonial Revival homes near the Pier Bowl

City policy still requires Spanish Colonial Revival design for new buildings and major remodels in the Del Mar and T-Zone district, North Beach and the Pier Bowl. Homes in that style often have tile floors, arched openings, wood beams and a courtyard or patio off the main room. A courtyard brings leaves and fine dust through the door, and tile shows every footprint. We sweep and mop tile on every visit and dust the beams and ledges we can reach from a three step ladder.

Sand from beaches you reach by stairs

Many San Clemente beaches, from T-Street to Calafia, are reached by long public stairs. The city has a long term sand restoration project centered on the pier. Fresh sand on the beach means more sand on shoes and towels in the homes and rentals closest to it. In a beach house we start with the entry floor, the rugs and the bathroom nearest the door, and we check them again on the way out.

Second homes, rentals and guest houses

Regional housing data show that most vacant homes in San Clemente are held for seasonal use, well above the regional share. The city's 2024 progress report also shows accessory dwelling units as the largest type of new housing. A guest house or an accessory unit is a small home with a full kitchen and bathroom. We price it on its own or together with the main house. Second homes can be cleaned in the days before the owners arrive.

Newer homes in Talega and the specific plan communities

Talega reached build out in the city's 2015 fiscal year, and Forster Ranch, Rancho San Clemente and Marblehead Coastal each follow their own specific plan and design rules. Homes there are newer, with open plans and newer tile and fixtures, so the work is steady upkeep. Water spots show on glass shower doors in a bright bathroom, so we dry those doors at the end of each visit.

Cleaning profile

For most San Clemente homes we suggest the Standard profile. For a beach rental or second home where guests arrive after the clean, the Fragrance-Free profile leaves no added scent in any room. The cleaning profiles page describes each option for San Clemente homes.
